THE PROJECT “HEALTH IN THE CITY HALL”, DESIGNED TO INFORM, TRAIN AND SPREAD ABOUT CURRENT ISSUES RELATED TO THE HEALTH OF THE PEOPLE, IS AT ITS SECOND EDITION.
The Foundation Giorgio Brunelli, with the unconditional support of the Municipality of Brescia, has planned in 2018 a series of conferences dedicated to the in-depth analysis of socio-medical issues covering health, frontier research, environment, technological breakthroughs and technological transfers in order to keep always alive the interest of the people in the numerous problems affecting the psychophysical health of the most fragile people among us; that is the elderly and those suffering from different forms of disability and social discomfort.
The meetings, which will be held at the City Hall in Brescia, are aimed at the public as well as the scientific journalists registered in the national roll. The conferences will be filmed and uploaded to youtube.
AIMS OF THE PROJECT
To inform, train, spread and raise awareness of the issues related to the different forms of physical and psychic discomfort including the people affected by motor and sensitive disability and those, more and more frequent, suffering from chronic diseases.
There are predestined meetings in life, those which sooner or later will happen because it is written in the stars.

On 4-6 September, the 30th Dr. Janez Faganel Memorial lecture, International Symposium on Brain Spasticity took place at the University Medical center of Ljubjana, organised by the International Society for Restorative Neurology.
Prof. Giorgio Brunelli and Dr. Luisa Monini were in Barcelona, guests of the Prof.Gabriel Gili Cirera, Director of the Experimental Surgery Center - Private Foundation "Mutual Sabadellenca", in the occasion of the XVI° course theoretical-practical of microsurgical technique (http://www.cirexp.com/) which was held at the Sabadell Hospital.

Prof. Salafia has been at the forefront of dermatology treatment at the Vimala Dermatological Centre in Mumbai for many years. After graduating from St. Johns’ Medical College in Bangalore he went on to work in Mumbai on an honorary basis at an NGO dedicated to leprosy patients.
In Bombay he studied Dermatology under Prof. Rui J. Fernandez and Plastic Surgery under Dr. J. Shah. In 1983 went to the Istituto Dermatopatico dell’Immacolata in Rome, for a stage in advanced Dermatology. There he got in touch with Dr. C. Frati who passed on his experience with Vitiligo. In 1981 the Vimala Dermatological Centre (VDC) started reconstructive surgery for leprosy patients and Dr. Salafia joined as assistant to Dr. J. Shah. In 1984 he studied Hand-surgery under Prof. E. Morelli and microsurgery with Prof. G. Brunelli.
In Mumbay, and not only there, he has distributed his knowledge and his generous work of hand surgery and microsurgery to the poorest of the poor. He died at 73 years while visiting a patient. Cardiac arrest. To the familiy our most sincere feelings of grievance and to Him an everlasting memory.
From 23 to 25 January 2014, will take place in Turin, Italy, the Second International Symposium on Peripheral Nerve Regeneration in conjunction with the Third Meeting ' Club Brunelli '. It will be attended by scientists from several nations around the world to exchange views on various topics related to nerve regeneration.
HRH Princess Fay Jahan Ara is the new honorary president of the Foundation Giorgio Brunelli.
